About this blog

This blog is just an informal log of my journey in the nursing field (mostly). Thought it might be interesting to look back somedays and see how God has guided me.

I noticed you started your Maternity rotation. Just finished that last semester and I gotta say that it was the BEST birth control method ever, haha. How was your Psych rotation? Over here we have Psych after Maternity/Peds, which is our last before we capstone/shadow an RN.

In my program, we have psych, then maternity and peds, then community health.

Funny you mention about birth control, one of the nurse I was with during delivery refuse to look at the mother (she is at a corner of the room where she helps out in assessing the baby). Turned out the reason was that if she looks, she’ll think she’ll never will have a child.

I just ran across your site while searching for nursing blogs. I’m about two weeks away from needing to decide whether or not to accept admission into a second degree nursing program. I started out as an English major, but now I work in IT. I’m interested in knowing how things have been going for you lately. Could you send me an email if you have the chance?

Thanks.
Eric
